Infrastructure & Release Engineering

The purpose of this team is to take care of day to day business regarding CentOS and Fedora Infrastructure and Fedora release engineering work.
It’s responsible for services running in Fedora and CentOS infrastructure and preparing things for the new Fedora release (mirrors, mass branching, new namespaces etc.).
List of planned/in-progress issues

Fedora Infra

• Icons disappeared from the desktop
• Chat broken
• Copr outage – build queue slow down (or halt)
• spammy comment on Pagure PR
• Give ListBucket permission to CloudFront on fcos-builds bucket
• Fedora Docs staging pages show inconsistent content.
• Fedora avatar service is too slow or not responding
• Request to increase resource limits for Communishift namespace
• The Docs staging pages are no longer being built.
• forge.fp.o login not linked to account.
• DMARC for redhat.com showing as invalid
• Need to delete user account in FAS that has been already deleted in Discourse (discussion.fedoraproject.org) due to violations (spam, AI, etc.)
• SpamAssassin Spams List “trans-fr”
• [Spike] Investigate options for mitigating AI scrapers
• Retire the Summer Coding mailing lists
• Request for new FAS group: lomiri-sig

CentOS Infra including CentOS CI

• [CBS] systemd packages tagged as testing have not been published to mirrors for a few days
• rebuild selinux-policy for el10 into infra tags
• Please create sig-messaging namespace
• Clean up Cloud SIG sponsors
• PV creation request on CentOS Infra Cluster
• [SN#1527] Migrate/upgrade duffy.ci.centos.org endpoint to AWS
• Move/Init recycled Dell R650 servers to expand CentOS Stream compute pool

Release Engineering

• Some package retirements not getting processed
• Unorphan python-queuelib
• Can’t orphan golang-github-djherbis-times
• Unorphan python-pymilter
• Please add Fedora-ELN-Container-Toolbox to eln tag
• Setting _with_bootstrap=1 macro in side-tags has no effect?

• Create detached signatures for the ignition 2.23.0 release
