Continue readingThis year the annual Flock to Fedora conference moved online and renamed to Nest With Fedora. Even with the situation around COVID-19 and without the option to meet others in person, Nest was still an awesome conference with plenty of things to do. The conference was hosted on Hopin platform, which allowed organizers to provide conference wide presentations and the smaller sessions for other talks. There were also some social related activities, like booths or talking for a few minutes with random Fedoran. You could also invite anybody for a private talk. The Community Platform Engineering (CPE) Team was there and gave quite a lot of talks.

Continue readingIt has been several weeks since the Fedora Ambassadors Program Revamp launched. Within these weeks, we have made some interesting steps. In case you missed the announcement of the initial proposal, you can take a look at the wiki page that contains all the details. Also, make sure to check out our post published on the Community Blog last month.
Continue readingIt has been a month since we met virtually to Nest with Fedora. The event was a huge success and it is all thanks to the Fedora community. The sessions were interesting, interactive, and educational. (And the recordings are now available on the Fedora YouTube channel!) The social hours were fun and full of smiling faces. The platform exceeded expectations in a lot of ways (and under-performed in others, unfortunately). The polls provided a fun way to interact and change programming on the fly.
Most recently, I know you all have begun to receive swag bags from the event, and I hope you enjoy them! For those yet to receive, stay patient, they are on the way. Sending those out was one small way we can give a “THANK YOU!!” to the community for the passion, time, and energy you put into Fedora. Your participation made Nest with Fedora a great virtual event, and I can’t wait for more virtual events in the future!
Continue readingThe Fedora Council is considering a new policy to define Community Publishing Platforms.
