As part of the Fedora 32 release, Fedora IoT is being promoted to an Edition. Before we do that, we want to give it a name. We need your help for this. Submit your name ideas on the wiki by 15 March and then we’ll all vote as a community.

Let’s keep writing a new vision statement for Fedora

Last month, I shared a draft vision statement that the Fedora Council worked on during our face-to-face meeting in November. We got a lot of great feedback on the council-discuss list. When the Fedora Council met after DevConf.CZ, we went over the feedback and came up with a new draft:

The Fedora Project envisions a world where everyone benefits from free and open source software built by inclusive, welcoming, and open-minded communities.

Changing the Release Readiness Meeting process

If you’ve attended a Release Readiness Meeting in the last few years, you’ve noticed that there’s a lot of me asking for an update from a team and getting no response. This makes the meeting a lot less valuable for the project and for the people who attend. And because the Release Readiness Meeting is held after the first Go/No-Go meeting, there’s not much chance to fix unready issues. Let’s make this better.
