Questions

Why do you want to be a member of FESCo and how do you expect to help steer the direction of Fedora?

I want to be in FESCo because I think I provide a good historical background for how things were done in the past, while embracing new ways of doing things and ideas.

How do you currently contribute to Fedora? How does that contribution benefit the community?

I’m employed by Red Hat to work on Fedora Infrastructure as part of the CPE team, but I also contribute a ton in my ‘spare’ time. I do a lot of releng work, help out where I can and try and unblock contributors from getting things done.

How do you handle disagreements when working as part of a team?

I tend to try and reach some kind of consensus if possible. Sometimes, it becomes clear that can’t be reached and everyone needs to move on. I’m generally open to trying other ideas unless I think they will be harmful. In elected groups, things tend to end in a vote and I honor that, even if (or especially if) i’m in the minority. Work or other hierarchical groups tend to have someone in authority make the final decision. I try and see disagreements from the other person(s) point of view and seek to get a middle ground we can both agree with.

What else should community members know about you or your positions?

I’m always around and happy to talk to anyone from the community (although I tend to be busy).
