As we test the Beta release of Fedora Linux 35, I am pleased to announce we will celebrate the final release of Fedora Linux 35 with a virtual Release Party. Please register on Hopin and join us on November 12th & 13th for a short program of informational sessions and social activities. Make sure to save the dates, share the registration, and show up for Fedora Friends & Fun!
Informational sessions will feature updates about GNOME, our new Element instance, and a bunch more current community activities. Fedora Project Leader Matthew Miller will also be giving his “35 Releases in 30 Minutes” talk. Last, but certainly not least, we will be hanging out in the Fedora Museum WorkAdventure for our Hallway track. Thanks to our amazing community for all your contributions to the latest release of Fedora Linux. Let’s party!
Hi Fedora Friends!
I am working the Mindshare Committee to prep for the upcoming Release Party [0], November 12th and 13th. Don’t forget to register here! We picked out a fun virtual activity called Beat the Bomb.
Here is a short description:
> In the immersive world of Beat The Bomb, you’ll navigate your way through puzzles and games that will test your team’s ability to communicate and work seamlessly together. Rack up as many points as you can in the first 2 games to earn time for the final challenge to defuse The Bomb. Then see how you stack up on the Leaderboard.
This should be a lot of fun and we hope plenty of people can join! I am writing this thread today for a couple reasons:
Poll: What is the best time slot to schedule the Beat the Bomb activity?
Vote in the poll.Reminder when voting: Daylight (Summer) time will be over by then in the US and EU, so the conversion is different from what it is today.
I think this list should use magical Discourse features to do the conversions to many different zones (click to see):
I have closed the poll, thanks to everyone who voted! It looks like the event will be on Friday, I will need to confirm the 15:00 UTC time with the vendor but I don’t foresee an issue. See ya’ll there!
