Meet Bot Learns a New (Old) Trick

Members of the Fedora community have been meeting in chats for what feels like forever. For a long time, regular meetings took place in the #fedora-meeting IRC channels, but lately, we’ve moved much of our communication over to Matrix. With that move, our helper on IRC, zodbot, got succeeded by a trio of Matrix bots, of which meetbot serves as a keeper of minutes. It allows meeting hosts to flag agenda topics and high points, which the bots collect and make publicly available at meetbot.fedoraproject.org.

Meetbot Logs 2.0 is Out Now

I’m happy to announce that Meetbot Logs (or Mote) 2.0 is now live at meetbot.fedoraproject.org. Meetbot Logs allows the community to see the minutes and logs from meetings. The new version is a major rewrite and adds features like a calendar view, asynchronous loading, quicker search, and dark mode. It should also be easier to maintain and develop in the future.

EPEL Office Hours

The EPEL Steering Committee is implementing monthly office hours for the EPEL project. These will be held on the first Wednesday of each month at 1700 UTC. The first session will be on 2022-03-02. The openSUSE Heroes team has agreed to let us host the meeting on their Jitsi Meet Instance. Please join us at https://meet.opensuse.org/epel with all your EPEL questions.
