Were you keeping an eye on the Flock 2023 call for proposals? Were you planning a proposal for this year’s event in Cork, Ireland from 2–4 August 2023? Did you miss the deadline to submit? Fear not, because the Flock 2023 CfP is extended for one week only until Tuesday, 27 June. If you were still working on that perfect proposal for our first return to an in-person event in four years, there is still time to submit before the deadline.

Submit your proposal for a presentation or workshop in our new CfP system at cfp.fedoraproject.org. The CfP system now supports login with the Fedora Account System (FAS).

You can submit your proposal to any of our three tracks for this year:

  1. Main track: The usual main track of Flock. Everything and anything to do with the Fedora contributor community. Interactive workshops that get attendees to participate in the main session are preferred to traditional presentations and talks.
  2. CentOS Connect: The CentOS community will feature in a dedicated one-day track on the first day of Flock. See connect.centos.org for suggested topic areas.
  3. Fedora Mentor Summit: A half-day event in the second half of the last day of Flock. Mentor Summit content focuses on workshops and sessions to promote mentorship best practices and to connect mentors and mentees across the community.

Note that proposals already submitted by 20 June will receive priority over new proposals. The reviewer committee expects decisions to go out over the next 1-2 weeks. There will be no further extensions to the CfP submission deadline.
