Mindshare Committee Quarterly Report- Q2 2022

It’s time for the (overdue) Mindshare Committee’s third Quarterly Report. This post covers activities from the Mindshare Committee and related teams for the months of April, May, and June of 2022. We started off strong with getting these reports together, but as time has gone, it’s gotten a bit more difficult to pull them together and out on time. We are addressing the future of these reports and how we can restructure to make it easier to put them together. Contribute to the Fedora Project during Hacktoberfest 2022

Allow us to wake you up when September ends because Hacktoberfest is (nearly) here. And you can contribute to the Fedora Project while participating in Hacktoberfest 2022! This event is an excellent opportunity to advocate for free and open-source software, all while giving back to the community with the contribution of your choice. Hacktoberfest includes low and non-code contributions. You can diversify your contributions to include writing docs, creating designs, running tests, mentoring folks, and much more. This global event is open for anyone, from students to professionals. People of all backgrounds and skill levels are encouraged to join us.

Fedora Pride Social hour 2022

Hey everyone! Happy Pride month!

This week’s Fedora Social is going to celebrate the end of Pride month as well as all our LGBTQ+ community members. Anyone is welcome! The more the merrier.

Thu, June 30, 2022 – 14:00-15:00 UTC

Join us to chat, play games, and just hang out together!

We’ll meet in the Element chat room and (usually) launch a Jitsi video call.

Note that this week is the “Early” time slot — we alternate with a “Late” one to better accommodate Fedoreans from different time zones. We’re so sorry If you can’t make this Fedora social but hope to see you at the next one!

Fedora Job Opening: Community Action and Impact Coordinator (FCAIC)

It is bittersweet to announce that I have decided to move on from my role as the Fedora Community Action and Impact Coordinator (FCAIC). For me, this role has been full of growth, unexpected challenges, and so much joy. It has been a privilege to help guide our wonderful community through challenges of the last three years.
